EQUIPMENT AND UNIFORMS

Mandatory equipment:

• PK uniform jersey (gold)
• shin guards
• soccer socks
• age-appropriate soccer ball
• water bottle

Optional equipment:

• PK uniform shorts
• soccer cleats

Age appropriate ball sizes:

• U6, U7, U8, & U9 - Size 3
• U10, U11, U12     - Size 4
• U13 and above:    - Size 5

Regarding shinguards, the harder kind are safer than the soft/padded type, although both are acceptable. The soft/padded type do not need to have soccer socks over them. The hard shinguards do. In either case, most players have gold socks or gold soft shinguards, but any color is acceptable.

Several stores which stock soccer cleats, shinguards, socks and balls are Sports Authority, Soccer Kicks (on Wilson Blvd. a few blocks past the Rose Garden on the right), and Tanzman's (also on Wilson Blvd. past George Mason on the left).
